A hilly 5K.

1st Place for my Age Group!

What a surprise! This race is an hour away and is quite hilly. I had raced the day before so I didn’t have a goal pace. I improved on my previous year’s time, but because the race was packed we didn’t stick around for awards. Turns out the 20 other women in my age group must have found this race also challenging because I ended up getting first! A fellow run club member got my award to me. Lesson learned: Regarless of my race time or size of the race, it is possible to place so stick around.
