Are we there yet?? That’s how I’ve been feeling lately. I’m ready to get this puppy going! Let’s race already! I know I have a lot more work to do to be ready for my next half marathon, but my energy levels are high and my patience is low.
This was another good week of training and the weather is improving so I’m getting to be outside more.
Here is what the week looked like:
M: Bike 30 Mins Easy
T: 7 Miles Speedwork Run
W: 2 Miles Easy Run
R: Rest
F: 8 Miles Long Run
Sa: Bike 45 Mins Intervals, Pushups, Abs, Legs
Su: 2 Miles Speedwork Run, Bowflex Chest
Total Running Miles: 19
I think I’ve decided on my goals for my next half marathon:
Plan A: Beat my previous half time: 2:13:04
Plan B: Come in at 2:07:00 or better
Plan C: Come in under 2 hours
There are so many factors that come into play with running a race this long so it’s best if I have a few goals for the day. Some factors include: how my body feels, how my stomach feels, temperature, how rested I feel, etc.
I hope to have a few half marathons this year to attempt my sub-2hr goal.
