Recovery week came at the perfect time because this week was pretty busy. Between shopping, happy hours, dinner with friends, and flying, it was a jam packed weekend.
A couple non-running pictures from this weekend.
Rob and me at a happy hour:
Thanks Jamie for the pictures from that night!
I kept most of my training on the treadmill to help keep my IT band on the path of healing. I did ice baths after most of my runs and incorporated new stretches. I didn’t get in as much strength training as I hoped, but I did get in some new leg exercises and I’m excited to make them a part of my weekly routine.
The weather was so beautiful today we took a flight to Indiana for lunch and then came back for 6 Mile Easy run in the park. A great day in my book!
Here is what the week looked like:
M: Rest
T: Bike Easy 40 mins (15.45 pace), Arms, Legs, and Abs
W: 5 Miles Easy (Treadmill, 1% incline, 8:57 pace)
R: 6 Miles Easy (Treadmill, 1% incline, 8:51 pace)
F: Rest
Sa: 6 Miles Easy (Treadmill, 1% incline, 8:56 pace)
Su: 6 Miles Easy (Park, 5mph winds, 8:56 pace), Legs and Abs
Total Miles: 23
This coming up week it’s back to building mileage, plus we have a couple races and other events over the weekend. Can’t wait!!
Sounds like your running is going great! 🙂 Keep it up girl!
