Mercedes Marathon Training: Week 6 Day 3

It’s so strange to be half way through the training for our next marathon. I finally feel like I’m over the cold, sinus, or whatever it was that has been looming over me for the last 5 days. Tonight I did 10 Miles VO2 Max W/ 5 X 1000M Strides @ 5K Pace W/ Jog In Between. Then I followed up with some ab work and squats on the BOSU.

  1. Half way there….before you know it taper time! I'm happy that the cold stuff is gone. It could not have been fun to plug along with a crappy head. Do you have any News Years races or any in January coming up?Have you thought about what you want to shot for? A second round of marathon training and the 5k times you two have had could make for some killer improvements. Congrats on a heck of a running year…your going into your 3 or 4 of running? P.S. I love you medals pic. I was going to do something similar for the end of the year post….you need your trophy's too.

  2. Hey Stevi! I don't think we are racing NYE. Last year we flew to a race, but the weather isn't good for flying.I'm still trying to figure out what to plan for in 2010 for goals. I far exceeded my plans for 2009.I am going into my fourth year of running.Yeah I thought end of the year doing my 2009 medals as a banner would be cool. I would have to figure out a way to show all the trophies with the medals….hmm.Hope you have a Happy New Year!!CJ
