IL Marathon Training: Week 2 Complete

Today was 10 Miles that we ran outside in the wind and very cold rain. Even with gloves my hands were frozen ice blocks afterward. I’m so ready for some summer running!

It was a productive week and the mileage is finally starting to build back up again, thank goodness.

Here is how the week looked:
M: Bike 8.9 Miles Easy (P4, L6, 30:00, 17.8 mph), Legs and Abs Strengthening
T: Rest
W: 5 Miles Recovery (Treadmill, 1% Incline, 36:14, 7:15 Pace)
R: 5 Miles Recovery (Treadmill, 1% Incline, 38:59, 7:48 Pace)
F: 7 Miles General Aerobic + 8 X 100M Strides (Treadmill, 1% Incline, 50:55, 7:17 Pace)
Sa: 3.1 Race (MP 5K, 21:42, 7:00 Pace, 2nd Female Overall, 1st Age Group)
Su: 10.07 Miles Med-Long (‘Hood, 1:20:58, 8:03 Pace)

Total: 30.17 Miles
