IL Marathon Training: Week 6 Complete

Another week done in training. I wasn’t interested in running my long run outside in 33mph wind gusts so I took the treadmill for my 17 Miles Long run. 40 minutes in and I was over it, nothing was wrong, I was just not in the mood. However, how I feel is not an option so I pressed onward knowing that I would feel better when it was over, and I did. They all don’t have to be fulfilling runs, sometimes it’s just running.

Here is how the week ended up:

M: Rest

T: 9 Miles VO2 Max W/6 X 600M Strides (Treadmill, 1% Incline, 1:07:18, 7;29 Pace)

W: 11 Miles Med-Long (Treadmill, 1% Incline, 1:25:38, 7:48 Pace)

R: 6 Miles Recovery W/6 X 100M Strides (Treadmill, 1% Incline, 46:00, 7:40 Pace), Abs and Squats

F: 5 Miles Recovery (Treadmill, 1.5% Incline, 38;59, 7:48 Pace)

Sa: 6.25 Miles Recovery (‘Hood, 49:26, 7:55 Pace), 6.75 Miles Recovery (Treadmill, 1% Incline, 50:09, 7:26 Pace), Push Ups

Su: 17 Miles Long (Treadmill, 1% Incline, 2:12:31, 7:48 Pace)

Total: 61 Miles
