Flying Dragon

The adventurous weekend continued into Sunday. First, Rob met up with Ryan for a 10 Mile run. I went to a park and ran my 12 Miler. Michelle was a sweetheart and met me for 5 Miles in the middle. It was such a nice time to get to chat and get our workouts in.

12 Miles (Tipton Park, 1:38:47, 8:14 Pace)

Running Miles: 49.2

Then Rob and I both rushed home to get ready to head to Chicago to go sailing on Lake Michigan! Our friend Jeff is a Skipper and invited us along with our other friend Chris to go sailing! It was unbelievable! So much fun!! Plus I LOVE Chicago!!

The boat that Jeff rented was called “Flying Dragon”, I love the name!

Me overlooking the Chicago skyline.

Ah! I love you Chicago!!!

Sailing.

Me at the helm, making a turn watching the arrow at the top of the mast to make sure I keep us in the wind. Chris being first mate and watching the boat traffic.

Rob at the helm, he took to sailing quite well!

Beautiful sunset.

An absolutely amazing day!! Definitely a great way to spend an evening and enjoy the city.

  1. I love the pictures!!!!!! And your outfit is adorable πŸ™‚ I knew you’d pick something cute to wear…. I’m super jealous of your beautiful evening!
Also, running with you was so much fun! I always get so bored running by myself… I need to throw a running bag in my car so that we can have impromptu runs in the park!

    • It was so great to run with you! It’s always a good time to get to hang out with you. πŸ™‚ You definitely need a running bag in your car and make sure to also pack a suit so we can head to the pool after a good run. πŸ˜‰

Sailing Lake Michigan was a truly amazing experience! I’m ready to become a Skipper and make trips like this more often. πŸ™‚

The top is from Evy Ann, they have such cute things there brought in from NY and Chicago. Have you been there yet?

I can imagine it was… I bet you didn’t want the night to end! Chicago is so fabulous anyway, but I’m sure it was even better on the lake.

No….. how come I haven’t heard of this place before??? It sounds like we need to plan a shopping trip soon πŸ™‚

    • Wow, thanks Nic!! πŸ˜€ I’m working on a background and nutrition page for the blog. I will be interested to hear what you think of it when I get it posted. • Hey Rebecca! I hope your dad is recovering well. I would love to get into photography. Maybe I should look for some courses at our college or something. I could always volunteer to be a photographer at one of our local races that I’m not planning to run and practice the skills I learn there. I think that would be a lot of fun! πŸ™‚
