A Moment

Seems like I can’t get a moment just to sit still and relax, let alone get caught up on things like reading running blogs, writing for mine, doing my nails, laundry, etc.

So back to Sunday since that is where I left off. Rob and I had long runs that we busted out in the morning. I took 2 Endurolyte capsules, a WW english muffin with natural peanut butter, some WW and marshmallow cereal and coffee before heading out. I had an amazing 18 Miler with 6 @ MGP. I finally felt like I was back to my old self. During the run I had Sports Beans at Miles 6 and 11.

After our runs we quickly got ready and took a flight over to my hometown to visit some of my girlfriends. It was so nice to hang out with them!

Monday was 6 Miles Easy on the treadmill and Tuesday was too hectic to get a run in. This morning I busted out 6.55 Miles LT work. It should have been 10, but I melted early. The weeks are winding down and I definitely need more threshold work.

  1. My dad gave me a couple samples of those capsules and I plan to give them a shot on Saturday’s long run. I like the idea of taking them via capsule versus liquid form. We’ll see how it goes.

  2. Great job on the 18-miler, I’m nervous for those high double-digit runs in my training but this gives me some motivation.

    1. Double digits made me nervous when I started them, but eventually it felt normal. Make sure to have fuel and hydration planned out. And be patient as your body gets used to the longer distances, sometimes they won’t feel great and other times I feel like a million bucks. Oh and the longer distance training helps with short distance races. Have fun!!
