If you’ve been reading my posts then you know that the last couple of weeks have included two 5Ks and a 10K (here and here). I had sent out some tweets over the IL Marathon weekend and the local news in Champaign, IL saw it and now wants to do a feature on me for one of their segments that is about news in the local community. How exciting! I will be interviewed and I will post a link to video when I have it. They did mention potentially filming me running. I am a little nervous about that. My running form isn’t graceful looking in general. Now my version of pregnant running, especially this late into pregnancy, is more just getting my body to move forward than an actual running style. I just keep telling myself this may be the only time that I am pregnant and that I need to enjoy it and celebrate even this version of running and walking.
In the latest issue of Runner’s World there’s a short article from professional runner, Lauren Fleshman about being pregnant and her thoughts and fears about how she will balance her running career and family. Just always nice to see an article that highlights pregnancy and running moms.
Here are some bump pictures.

Nursery/Baby
Baby preparations have been going well! The car seat bases are installed in our cars. All the baby clothes and bedding have been washed. Now I just need to pick out some outfits to take to the hospital.
And I’ve started packing for us too. Items I’m packing include:
- Contacts, probiotic, medication for thyroid
- Toothbrushes, floss, mouthwash, white strips
- Makeup remover, Q-tips, cotton balls
- Old hairdryer, hairspray, hair products, shampoo, conditioner, hair brush, hair ties
- Deodorant, lotion, shave gel, razor
- Shower puff, soap
- Origins Ginzing, mascara, blush
- Pads, nipple cream
- Underwear, nursing bras. socks with grips on the bottom
Other than clothes and flip-flops, what else am I forgetting?
For the nursery, we got a framed magnetic chalkboard from Etsy store ShugabeeLane. We love it! It was such high quality, I plant to order more products from this store for the home.
Up next – hopefully more nursery progress and a link to the news segment about me and pregnant running! 🙂
I can’t believe it’s coming so soon. AH-I am just so excited. I really think you should do more posts about pregnancy, it seems (looking objectively) you had a near perfect one. You look beautiful, you dressed beautiful, you ran through it. Girl you are my role model.

I did get lucky that the pregnancy has been mostly smooth. Working out after about 6 months hasn’t been as easy as I was hoping, but I just try to keep moving as much as I can. Thank you for the sweet post! 🙂
