Chase is 8 months old! I can’t believe it!!

Big Changes

Since our last update, Chase has graduated to a big girl car seat. Instead of moving the carrier in and out of the seat base, she is in a big comfy seat and we carry her into/out of the car. It’s nice to not have to lug a heavy car seat carrier around anymore. She never made a peep about the change. She seems to still like driving and just quietly plays and sometimes falls asleep depending on how long our trip is.

We got her a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 5/70 in Licorice (black leather). Since the seat doesn’t unsnap from the base (like a carrier), we got one for each vehicle. We were very happy with our Peg Perego carrier so we just went with the seat, plus it had good reviews. We are very happy with how well they fit in our SUVs and how the seat/leather look.

Chase is also using rolling around as a mode of transportation. 🙂 She’s also able to move from lying down to sitting up in her crib. She is also very close to crawling and loves to pull herself up to standing.

Baby Nutrition

Chase is now on to Stage 3 foods, including new flavors like organic salmon, chicken, and leeks. Stage 3 foods are heartier combinations and chunkier in consistency. We still feed her Stage foods sometimes just because she enjoys the flavor combinations.

Baby’s First Valentine’s Day

Chase’s first Valentine’s Day was so nice. We got her a card, a couple valentine books and a Pottery Barn chair with her name. She seems to really enjoy her presents. 🙂 We then took in valentines for her class and her teachers.

She really enjoys reading. Here she is having story time with daddy before bed. So sweet! 🙂
