I thought I would do a quick update of some of the highlights of the past 3 months with Chase. I love looking back on these posts and remembering these special moments. 🙂
Words:
Saying “Momma”, “Dadda”, “No”, “Yea”, “Wow”, “Dog”, “Hi”, “Bye”, “Book”, “More”, “Milk”. Working on “Fish”, “Shoes”, “Boy”, “Girl”…and more! Plus she’s making animal sounds of a monkey, elephant, snake, and others. It’s too cute! 🙂
Summer Fun:
First time at the company pool
Chase and I met up with Carissa and her son Joey for time at the company pool. Chase loved the bubblers and getting in the kiddie pool with me. She loved splashing and wanted me to take her around all of the different water features so she could touch them all and then we would repeat the process again and again. It was a lot of fun. 🙂
Park bubblers
Another day Daddy, Chase, and I checked out a local park and they have their own set of bubblers. Chase enjoyed the same process of checking out each water feature.
Shedd Aquarium
For my birthday we headed up to Chicago to take Chase to Shedd Aquarium. She LOVED it. She enjoyed seeing all of the fish and even sat through the dolphin show in total amazement.
Moving into fall:
Gymnastics class
So far Chase’s favorite parts of gymnastics class are circle-music time, handstands, using the slide, handing things to Daddy, and getting her stamp at the end of her class.

Cheering on the Chicago Bears
Chase loves watching football and cheers anytime a game is on. She really gets into it. 🙂
Tanner’s Orchard
We have a tradition of going to Tanner’s Orchard every fall. This year it ended up being so warm and beautiful we had to change some clothes part way through. This time last year Chase was a tiny little baby and the weather wasn’t great so we really only did some shopping and left. This year we got to explore everything. Chase enjoyed the kids area with little tractors and playground equipment. Plus she enjoyed looking at the chickens, goats, and llamas.
St. Louis Zoo
We have enjoyed checking out zoos in the area throughout the summer. We got lucky and had gorgeous weather on a Sunday this September and went to St. Louis Zoo for the day. If you haven’t been to St. Louis Zoo or Forest Park before, definitely check it out. There was so much to see that we barely made it through on section in the afternoon. Tip: consider bringing your own bottled water or drinks in a cooler. Bottled water was $3.50!
Chase enjoyed the elephants and the fish aquariums at the Children’s Zoo section. She also loved walking around and petting all of the goats. 🙂 We took the train ride around the entire zoo. This was Chase’s first time on a ride and the train has some long sections of tunnels and we weren’t sure how she would react. Turns out she love it!
