Catching up on posts and wanted to share photos of Chase’s 4th birthday party from June 2017, which was mermaid themed.
We started her birthday morning with a spa day of nails and hair. Chase’s first salon manicure and pedicure.

I used brown sugar in the food display to look like sand. For the table cloth my husband and I took brown paper and created a treasure map and burnt the edges and holes in it.
Cookies from Etsy Store: SugarHeartsBakery
For decorations, I reused vases that I had, filled them with play sand, seashells and white candles. I used existing storage boxes that I had of different types. Our professional photographer didn’t get photos of all of the food items. We had:
- Pirate Popcorn
- ‘Fish & Chips’ – goldfish crackers and apple chips
- Crab Dip
- ‘Seaweed Dip’ – Spinach Artichoke Dip
- ‘Rafts’ – Tortilla Rounds
- ‘Drift Wood’ – Pita Chips
- ‘Floats’ – Root Beer Floats with Ice Cream in Mason Jars and Root Beer Bottles
- Sea Water – Fruit Punch
- Lagoon Water – Gatorade
- Snowcones
I didn’t love the Etsy Store that did the birthday banner so I won’t leave the store name here.
We hung a net for a nautical effect. Balloons from Party City.
Treasure Chest from Etsy Store: OldArtView
We filled the treasure chest with necklaces and chocolate coins from Party City.

Chase loved the day, and we enjoyed the time catching up with friends.
